Project X. Our World System.

Project No. PX0076.

THE MOTHERSHIP AND HER PROBES.

All Motherships are long and thin. They can be miles long and a few hundred feet wide. The general rule is obvious. If you are travelling at speed you will get micro meteorite hits. Do this for 20000 years and the front of your Mothership will get worn away ! So the first hundred yards of the Mothership is solid and heavy. I have no idea what material as I did not ask. The rear has to be a propulsion system which gets you up to speed where your momentum in a vacuum with no gravity will keep you at the speed reached. Just in front of that is a storage area for material to eject to obtain the speed required. Next is a massive plant for storing energy normally taken from the sun in the solar system being visited. This powers everything for the first part of the journey. The Mothership makes sure all is well and information gathered from the last solar system transmitted before the system shuts down. The Mothership can die completely provided it has plotted the correct course for the next sun which then wakes it up. There are no beings on a Mothership. If beings are required there is a unit on board which can re-create any known being via DNA. Incidentally, somewhere here I will say where we are in the intelligence side of things and the top planet with the most intelligent beings create the units for DNA creation. So there is only ONE planet which has successfully created a unit to build DNA based creations. I did hear that this planet which is synthetic (see Life Star section) avoided the last big bang as I have been told there have been many and we are a result of the last one. So, the section of Motherships with this unit, some do not have it, have all come from the same source. Others have tried but terrible things have gone wrong.

The probe section of the Mothership will spin up and launch a probe to each planet and moon in a solar system having been powered up to enable this by the sun in that solar system. See how probes work later. The probes are in a cassette launching system where they are ejected (in our case) out of a slot on the side. One of these is what I came across on Otterburn.

The propulsion system is just a massive particle accelerator or two or three or four ! If you want your Mothership to last a long time you have to quadruple on everything. It will leave a solar system by accelerating the material gathered by machines dropped on to suitable planets on arrival. These make long straight trenches as seen on some of our planets and maybe here. This carries on until all material is used. The speed you get to before this runs out is sustained for the rest of the journey by momentum. Small deposits are left to run the various boosters dotted around the hull for small course corrections but only while you have power for the computer and boosters. The same particle accelerators used for propulsion are also used to fire the vast and long nutrino bursts in binary to a computed destination. This information would be about how the target planets had evolved etc. If it is picked up by another Mothership on the system that ship will clean up the transmission and re-send it boosting its power back up to its original level and if the direction was slightly wrong, set it on a better course and maybe to other known Motherships and collection planets.

The computer is collossal. It can track individual atoms on a target planet, eliminate those that have not had anything to do with the development of the planed by elimination i.e. a mile deep the rocks have not been touched since the creation of the Earth so would not add to the overall calculations so are eliminated. It will generally map every atom on the surface and in the atmosphere. It knows how all these atoms react with each other as do we and then can calculate back and forwards in time via simulation. Thats its biggest job. The small jobs are course setting and correction, collection of data from the probes and the picking up of nutrino bursts from other Motherships and sending and re-sending of data.

There are OLD Motherships that might not be on the system. A Mothership still with power will go out of its way to intercept one of these and place a control system on board which speaks to all Motherships on the system. Some have evolved life and even with intelligence enough to become "Pirates". There are mineral gathering monster Motherships where the machines alight on the surface, mine their minerals and place them on the ship where they are turned into huge skyscraper sized blocks and sent back to a point where the Mothership was told to send them ! This place may no longer exist ! The beings on board then go to the surface on the machines and forage for food to store for the next part of the journey. This food could be you or me !
