At this event we attended the most solemn meeting of our time in Project X. We had to talk about the situation code going into the red for the first time since 9/11 or WWII even. This time was different because it has been caused by a number of different reasons. Radical Islamists are appearing to cause chaos in their own lands but also poking us with a big stick at the same time. One reason for the high sit code is the lack of vocal protest by the average Muslim. It is as if they have known this was coming for a long time ! It is a multi-pronged attack. Rich Muslim countries do not seem to be taking Refugees in any great numbers, they appear to be promoting Islam in Countries that do not want Sharia Law and all the prehistoric, barbaric rules it has hung on to for too long. This includes buying businesses, paying politicians / Govt. officials to be lenient on Hate preachers whilst jailing anyone who protests about Islam, offering to build 400 Mosques in Europe "to help with the refugee crisis" etc. Watch your pages in the password area. On other notes. Green baize has been distributed worldwide to be used as a backdrop for photographing items to sell and codes sent for you to upload your goods. We have decided that in order to fill the website, we are allowing your collections to be placed on here even if at a high price i.e. if you have something you wanted to keep but would let it go at a certain price, use that price rather than not place it on here. REMEMBER : There is a civilian site also. Place the civilian item in the shop that it most suits. There are 14 odd shops to choose from. Use recycled boxes / packing where possible and E-Bay nos. have been given out for green baize, lighting we use and packing tape. If you are a dealer, remember we will be monitoring how much you sell as it may attract attention of the autorities who, over a certain amount, will want VAT etc. This is classed as a club shop so Project X itself is not liable. The Project X spokesperson has all the details of items placed so will keep an eye out and take any enquiry calls using the Project X number. We welcome S.R. in Switzerland and G.R. from Belgium also who have items to place on the site. Blank pictures : Caused by not stating in the code where the picture is stored. The right way is : images/(item picture name).jpg then place the image in the folder called images INSIDE the html folder, serverside.

Date for commencement of placing of items is the weekend of the 11th and 12th Mar 17. Any discussions about this can be had at Malvern on Sun 19th Mar 17.

Situation code goes into the red for first time since 9 / 11.

Although only in the very lowest numbers, it automatically triggers a lock down. Tho only person visible to the public is the Spokesperson, the Disposals area is emptied and all PX numbered associates must max all stores. This appears to have been triggered by a number of events rather than one. We are guessing Trump, Immigration, ISIS, Brexit, wayward government etc. The "Think Tank" must be updated whenever information comes in and not wait for usual methods. Log in to The X Project Section for more information if you hold codes.

The meeting at the show determined that people buying from the website were being ignored because everyone thought that someone else was dealing with them ! The website disposals section will not be updated with new items until this is addressed. Due to The X Project currently being under lockdown as the situation code went red, the only person allowed to stay in relative public view is the spokesperson. This position was confirmed at the meeting and his job will be solely responsible for the website updating etc. Any disposals items must now be sent to him. If only the photographs are sent then there has to be a real guarantee that the item will be sent as soon as notification of the address is received. The other problem we have encountered is that Paypal has a keyword program that picks out any weapon related word or anything else on their restricted list especially since we already had one password holder put an inert grenade on the website which is OK but if Paypal is used, and the word "grenade" is used in the comments box then this will be picked up. The recent Paypal shutdown was due to a buyer saying "Thanks, payment for the flash hider". The flash hider was an aluminium airsoft one and it would be understandable that the average Paypal employee would not know what "airsoft" even meant. Looking on the internet has brought up hundreds of similar cases. It was determined that only the spokesperson would hold passwords to update the ENTIRE site and not just the disposals section.

Situation code update.

For the first time in The X Project recent history the code went into the red. The last time this happened was during the Cuban Missile Crisis in The X Projects cold war phase ! Talking to a few people at the show after the meeting as to what caused this (remember : the code is generated from about 120 different sources so no one person can say why) the general opinion is a mixture of the usual stuff. Incompetent Government in most parts of the world, EU clutter, reduction of our forces, Police being tied down with red tape, the rich getting richer (reducing money circulating in peoples pockets), The Islamic "invasion" and suspect agenda and the general feeling of the World going "Tits up".

22 Jul 15

War and Peace Show is upon us again and the meeting days are Tues 21st as a non-show day and 22nd being the first show day. We are taking this opportunity to announce a few changes. Although Project X is mainly a non-monetary organisation we still need a Treasurer to oversee money in from sales in the Disposals section and money out to the owners of sold items. Reliable people have been given the Paypal passwords and have their own e-mail logged with the system. These are generally the Disposals section department overseers. The Treasurer will monitor these transactions. The person we have in mind doesn't actually use the Disposals section so is ideal.

The green baize backdrops have been a success and you can now see an MTP item against it ! The Swiss, Belgian and Czech secions also have it and will place items on the Disposals section and use it for other display sections too. We are going to suggest placing the members PX badge in the picture and a scale in inches and CM near the item. These items have been talked about before and mainly for the scaling of springs and other small parts to identify them.

We are also going to officially open the civilian Market section for the sale of unwanted civvy stuff.

06 Dec 13 backdrop.

The MTP backdrop is being replaced with green baize which should arrive at the main photography areas within the next few weeks. Theres a few reasons for this. One is there is a new civilian sales site and the backdrop will be used here too to unify the whole look of the sales areas although only a small part of the Project X site. This should give every section admin an excuse to re-photograph all items and hopefully increase the quality whilst updating the text and deleting old photos.

Items required.

The disposals site had its lowest ever sales figure for the three months to the end of October which was £8 for two Sterling pins originally costing the owner £26 ! So a new drive to empty all those hidden boxes from all areas is underway and also to fill the sections on the civilian site also so no home should be safe from this. Empty the lofts, get shot of those old collections etc.

06 Sep 13 Contributors.

The last section of each page should be blank and now reads "Contributors Details.". This was because in some sections an item may be owned by someone other than the actual contributor. Over a period of time and with some contributors being old it is difficult to find the true owner or in some cases, a beneficiary of a deceased owner when an item sells.

Section administrators for Project X website sections and Disposals site sections.

Individual volunteers have been allocated and are now responsible for each section and have been given passwords to update the website. Thanks to our photographer D.W. Green baize backdrops have now been sent to our international contributors in Belgium, Switzerland and the U.S. and now some of the ranges we use as members have no means of advertising except on the pinboard at their range.

Paypal is now centralized and the address has been changed to sales@project-x.org.uk. This is monitored by P.H. on a daily basis from their workplaces or at home if after work. They will distribute money directly to owners account if their item sells. Funds will be sent as soon as they are in. A.S. currently in Australia.

For ease of use the enquiries phone no. is the same for all sections and will be manned by 10 people where the system picks one at random until an answer is acquired. These are people with a basic knowledge of most Project X schemes, most sections in the museum and other projects. However, this position is open to anyone showing basic knowledge of all sections.

Note to section admin volunteers : Please do not change the general layout of your section or change colours etc. We need to keep the same look for each section.

To all members currently passed for disposing of unwanted items on the disposals area.

Authorised volunteers can now send unwanted items directly to the person whos section they want their item to appear in where it will be photographed and numbered. Alternatively, send a photo taken using the green baize backdrop but be prepared to send item promptly on receipt of E-mail from designated person. Be prepared to take heavy items to Project X attended shows or give them to a member attending. There are now over 475 possible contributors but it seems to be the same few that are taking advantage of the service. Make sure your bank details are sent to A.S. or P.H. Items can be left in Section Admin Volunteers pigeon holes but only if they fit ! Do not leave big items on the floor next to pigeon holes.

To members currently holding website passwords.

Remember to always copy and paste the last empty section before adding pictures and text. Pictures must be taken using the new multicam backdrop including U.S. Swiss and Belgian password holders. Do not ring central phone no. about website changing difficulties. If the Swiss and Belgian password holders put on firearms parts they must be legal in their country and a warning placed in the text next to the item picture stating that the buyer checks with his / her authorities a) if he can own it and b) if he / she can import / export it. Admin volunteers for the sections will check anyway. Watch the ITAR regulations. These have been introduced quietly to catch out people the authorities want imprisoned.

Remember ...

The disposals website is a temporary place to sell unwanted items. When items for sale go below a certain level the website will be shut down and remaining items returned to the contributor. Make the most of it ! Remember there is over 475 of you !

UPDATE : Because of the plea to use the disposals area we have now gone over the 1300 items mark !

Changes ...

Items will now appear in other sections if it is thought it will aid in locating an item for buyers but also to aid location for admin purposes. For instance, an AK47 magazine will appear in the magazine section and the AK47 section. Items in two locations will have two numbers and will be clearly marked to aid location as when an item is sold both entries can be found and deleted with ease. Buyers can quote any of the two numbers when ordering. So section admins are to remember to delete doubled items in other sections and e-mail the admin for that section to say what you have done.

A new numbering system is being worked out so we do not have to change the numbers to fit the webpage !

Beltring meeting main points.

1. Most of the membership also have civilian items for sale and it has been noted that E-Bay has quite high fees now in fact you pay to put the item on, then pay a fee when it is sold then theres the Paypal fee so a big saving could be made.

2. Check the lighting in the new photos as some have said it is a bit yellow.

NOTE : It is due to the lighter overall appearance of Multicam backdrop.

3. What if A.S. and P.H. both go on holiday ?

4. Allowance of some members with shops to place items on the disposals part of the website may have implications for tax purposes. How do we know the owners are paying their taxes and if the item is their own collection or something from their shop ?

UPDATE : A.S. says that no new items should be put on website and Section Admin Volunteers should not buy items to sell on their section. Disposal of unwanted items only.

UPDATE : Civilian item website on the way !

Malvern meeting main points.

1. Cheques or cash payments must be declared by seller. All payments are now centralized using Paypal or transfer to Project X bank so as to keep a record of who has sold what. Although it is rare these days to get a cheque they will now be made payable to Project X directly and then paid out to the owner after.

2. Most contributors to the disposals area have now confirmed that they have exhausted their searches for items to sell and that what is on the site now will probably be the last.

3. It was realised the disposals area is selling a lot of items originally bought at original manufacturers prices and have already been discounted way below their original values, it was decided not to drop them any further. This also confirms that no profit is being made by individuals.

4. There were some contributors selling items at a high price "in case" someone was willing to pay them ! A.S. has looked at all prices and can't really find any evidence of this. He cited one item as an example. The Kite night sight at £2800. The price for a new one is £4800 etc.

5. Everyone agreed that the market for military items had dropped considerably and most reported traders in these items complaining that most items sold were "pocket money" purchases. So all members should not rely on their item selling for christmas money. Christmas was another reason for items not selling also.

6. There comes a time where the costs of webspace etc. get to a point where it is no longer worth keeping the site open so at Stoneleigh in January A.S. has asked for an assesment to be made ready for this meeting.

Militaria 14, Stoneleigh meeting main points.

1. Great attendance with probably the biggest gathering of P.X. persons to date.

2. No real purchases to talk of.

3. It was agreed the situation code can come down slightly.

4. One member was coming clean about the Otterburn UFO.

5. An update of members projects should be undertaken with more detail / pictures added.

6. M.P.s list of those "in the know" at 114 matching the previous record. This normally goes down after an election.

7. Recession has highlighted the divide between the rich and poor, top 1% including the virtually bankrupt government appear to have abandoned the "scum" and are feathering their own nests before the masses realise or they declare the British Economy bankrupt! It was agreed all should work on this problem. It was pointed out by the only M.P. in attendance that the government will soon not have enough money coming in to pay even the interest on its borrowing ! It was also agreed that this seems to be why the bankers and directors etc. are still getting huge pay rises and bonuses knowing the end of their honeymoon period is almost over. One suggestion was to have a no money "beehive" system where you do not get any honey if you don't help !
