The A1 Carbine.

Above : A1 Carbine originally put together as a cheaper version of the original Carbine which had an even shorter barrel as the gas block was almost against the receiver and a rail underneath with an LSW rear grip
SA80 No. 43.

Above : No 43 off the production line in 1985 with various prototype items still on.

Above : Closeup of the number. UE means it was made at the original Enfield factory in Enfield. 85 is the date. UN marked guns came from The Enfield factory in Nottingham.
LSW Prototype XL86E1.

An X numbered trials LSW XL86E1. Note the dark green pistol grip and different rear grip. It has an SA80 flash hider with a block welded onto it for the attachment to the extention. Bipod has a round profile. Trigger is made from sheet metal.
