GOOD CAUSES AND CHARITIES.

We will be supporting those we meet along the way.

Example : Macmillan Cymru was the first to Follow us on Twitter therefore will be supported when we are in such a position. As book 1 stands, it is Ross' Dad that is in a care home due to a stroke. On acquiring the permission from Macmillan we will change his ailment and write in Macmillan as the charitable organization looking after him. And so on.

ALSO ...

We will send out volunteers to hospitals and communities to find those in need and then surprise them with a visit from The X Team and even film this for TV using our own resident film crew. We will hand out cash and cheques, persuade local companies to donate work and goods etc. Basically what you see today but on a much larger scale.

HOSPITAL VISITS

Always stuck in my mind this one. A child was dying in hospital and was visited by her favorite pop star who just happened to be in the area. This was unscheduled and would never have happened if a relative had not run into them in a shopping centre. After the visit where the Pop star gave the girl a teddy etc. and remembering that this was not a TV show or anything, the nurses noticed an immediate change in the girl and she gained this need to fight and because I know the family was able to hear about her recovery. She didn't stop talking about the visit for years. We want to recreate that. Cast members will be told that if they are not interested in doing these visits then its back to the job centre. Because we have 6 cast members and possibly a few more that will become famous we can split these if a being that requires a visit is only the fan of one cast member. Handing out cash in this way bypasses the charity 'administration' costs. Secret research will be foremost to make sure the 'target' really needs the help.

CADETS.

When I was at school in the 70s we had a Cadet force actually at the school. In my research I have had it brought to my attention the plight of Cadet forces these days. Our local Cadet force has three members. I sat one down and asked questions. A story of lethargy, non-attendance, lack of money and all nailed to the floor with health and safety.

Heres a chart to show you what has gone since 1973.

One can understand why kids do not want to go.

My Mother was choosing a school for me and was sent 13 brochures. She looked through them and when unable to decide then gave them to me. All sounded boring until I turned the page and saw two Cadets firing a BREN machine gun. That was instantly the school where I knew I would end up. We will not be using or promoting knives but one of the things on the list to take to boarding school was a pocket knife ! In my later years at Bletchley park and at the Military Shows it was always the guns that people wanted to be seen and photographed with. I lent a Barrett Light 50 sniping rifle to a stall for the charity 'Combat Stress' at one show and they charged £5 per photo to people standing with it and were busy all day. With the gradual Hoo Har about guns becoming louder every time a madman (passed by the Police) shoots another lot of innocents it increases in volume. It is now at a frenzy and Mothers tremble at the sight of a gun (except when at Military shows) and therefore stop their children going to Cadets. The Army is reducing its numbers at the moment but this will carry on when they are not wanting it to. There will be no future soldiers.

We want to show three of our main characters in the Cadets and two of them as instructors. We await responses from e-mails as I write this.
